Call for Abstracts and Poster Presentations
THE CONFERENCE WAS HELD 10 NOVEMBER 2019. APPLICATION AND SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS ARE NOW CLOSED
The Iraqi Health Professionals Association-Australia (IHPAA) invites all Iraqi health professionals to submit abstracts and poster presentations for inclusion in the First 2019 IHPAA Clinical Conference to be held in Sydney 10 November at the Holiday Inn, Warwick Farm.
Abstracts are invited from all fields of health and medicine. The abstract will be published electronically on the IHPAA website and also printed in the conference program booklet. All posters will be displayed at the Conference Hall and the main author shall be attending the poster for at least 30 minutes. As this is the first conference for the IHPAA, all submitted abstracts and poster presentations will be accepted, provided:
- The submitting author is a registered standard member of the IHPAA. If you’re not yet a registered member, Register here
- One of the authors is an Iraqi health professional
- The main subject of the submitted material relates to the field of medicine or allied health.
Submission opens 1 July 2019
Submission closes 5 November 2019
The best abstract and poster presentation will be selected by the IHPAA scientific committee and prizes will be awarded to the principal author at the closing ceremony. These prizes are limited to registered members of the IHPAA.
All abstracts must be submitted HERE on this website. The abstract must be submitted as a text in the allocated space. A sample abstract in PDF format is available to download HERE to assist you in following the required format.
Abstracts must be typed in English
Word Limit: maximum total word count: 300 words, including the title, authors and body of the abstract.
The abstract text will be checked and edited for grammar and syntax errors.
The organizing committee reserves the right to decline unsuitable topics.
Please note all accepted presenters must fill the conference registration form (Registration to attend the First Clinical Conference of the IHPAA) before they can attend the conference.
Posters must be displayed on the day of the Conference. Poster presenters must be present at their posters for at least 30 minutes on the day of the Conference.
The abstract should be an informative document able to stand alone in its content and meaning
The main body should be presented under the following headings:
Introduction (the study objectives), Methods (a brief statement of methods used), Results (a summary of results, including statistical significance in text; do not include tables or figures. It is not sufficient to say that results will be discussed), and Conclusions (a brief but clear conclusion drawn from the results shown)
